Invisalign Clear Aligners

Invisalign is a straightening method that uses a series of specially engineered aligner trays that fit close over your teeth, allowing you to smile and speak freely and easily, interacting with others without feeling awkward. Invisalign trays are so thin, clear and snug-fitting that other people have to get a very close look to even notice you’re wearing them.

How Invisalign Works

The Invisalign process starts with 3D imaging that creates a timeline for the process of straightening your teeth, plotting a series of aligner trays designed to gradually move your teeth into their optimal position. One of the truly great things about Invisalign is that those clear aligners allow you to see the progress your teeth are making — metal braces hide that progress until the very end. Not everyone is a candidate for Invisalign, but about 90% of people who need braces can get their teeth where they need to be with the Invisalign system, avoiding the inconvenience and discomfort of traditional braces.

Your Invisalign Journey at Aria Dental

Your Invisalign treatment begins with a consultation and 3D imaging scan so Dr. Daniel can map out your full treatment plan. You’ll receive a series of custom aligner trays — each worn for about one to two weeks before moving to the next in the series. You’ll wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours per day, removing them only to eat and brush. Progress check-ins happen every six to eight weeks. Invisalign patients, on average, have their teeth straightened in about a year. Made from FDA-approved SmartTrack material with no BPA, BPS, latex, or gluten, Invisalign aligners are as safe as they are effective.

Nearly Invisible

The clear aligner trays are virtually undetectable when worn, so you can straighten your teeth without the self-consciousness that comes with traditional metal braces.

Removable for Meals and Hygiene

Unlike fixed braces, Invisalign trays come out for eating, brushing, and flossing — making it far easier to maintain good oral hygiene throughout treatment.

See Your Results in Advance

3D imaging lets you visualize your projected final result before treatment even begins, giving you a clear picture of the smile you're working toward.

Are You a Candidate for Invisalign?

Invisalign is suitable for most adults and teens dealing with crowding, spacing, overbite, underbite, crossbite, or open bite. About 90% of orthodontic cases can be treated with the Invisalign system. It is particularly popular with working adults who don’t want the appearance of traditional braces and with teens who want a more discreet option. Patients with severe bite misalignment or complex orthodontic needs may require traditional braces — Dr. Daniel will give you an honest assessment during your consultation. Service FAQ's

Treatment length varies depending on the complexity of your case. Most adults complete treatment in 12 to 18 months. Minor corrections can sometimes be achieved in as little as six months. Dr. Daniel will give you a specific timeline estimate based on your 3D imaging during your consultation.

You may feel some mild pressure or discomfort for the first few days after switching to a new aligner tray. This is a sign that the aligners are working to shift your teeth. The discomfort is typically much less than what patients experience with traditional metal braces and usually fades within a day or two.

For best results, aligners should be worn 20 to 22 hours per day — removing them only to eat, drink anything other than water, and brush and floss. Wearing them less than the recommended time will slow your progress and can extend your overall treatment time.

Yes. Because the aligners are removable, you can eat and drink whatever you like. Simply remove your trays before meals or drinks (other than water), and put them back in after brushing. This is one of the biggest advantages Invisalign has over traditional braces.

Some patients notice a slight lisp during the first few days as their tongue adjusts to the aligners. This typically resolves quickly — within a week or less for most people. Speaking normally while wearing your aligners is important for accelerating this adjustment.

Once your teeth reach their final position, you'll wear a retainer to maintain the results. Most patients wear their retainer nightly long-term. Dr. Daniel will discuss your specific retention plan at the end of treatment.
